TG put the table together by getting references from webprochina.com. The above figures indicate that the instant messaging busines owned by Tencent has a very good year last year despite the economic downturn. Shanda (盛大), which is an interactive entertainment media company in China offering a variety of internet based entertainment services such as, online role playing games and advanced social games, chess and board, told us the fact that Chinese are still fond of online games. Baidu (百度) and Alibaba, which concentrate their business on search and B2B, respectively have done well.
Pity enough, Tootoo.com will terminate its operation very soon as the economic tsunami is increasingly taking a heavy toll of the China economy. According to China Sourcing News
Tootoo.com was originally developed as a B2B search and service provider for suppliers and buyers engaged in international trade and was not fully commercialized as of the end of 2008. Ninetowns, its parent holding company, expects to begin winding down all services and support for Tootoo.com within approximately 60 days and plans to eventually discontinue Tootoo.com’s B2B service offering. Ninetowns intends to re-assign existing Tootoo.com personnel consisting of approximately 50 employees to other functions within Ninetowns.

Kelikuru.com is 嘰哩咕嚕, a Chinese term basically means rumbling. The idea comes across TG's mind while watching a cartoon show on TV few years ago. We walk through our life, day by day ; speak to many people, known or unknown, year after year and we may not notice that there are so many wonderful things passing by. Writing a blog can literally leave my foot-prints in the internet world, help me keep the memory. At this moment, a big chunk of my life is closely aligned with user-centric design, user research, web-based environment both in Hong Kong and China. Perhaps I may not be like that tomorrow, I may be in other setting, have nothing to do with usability, but who knows what's going to happen next?
