What’s the keyword that gets the highest bid in Yahoo search marketing Hong Kong

Bank? Stock? Finance? No. They are all wrong. The highest bid was placed on “Hardware” (五金), according to the Selina Wong, marketing manager of Yahoo! Search Marketing. She said the bid was so far the highest and the click costed the advertiser a little more than HK$400.

“The advertiser was convinced that it’s the right price to pay,” she said.

Addressing at a seminar hosted by Radica eMarketer conference 2008 – Global eMarketing Strategies today, Miss Wong introduced the search marketing program in Hong Kong.  She disclosed that each advertiser has at least 100-plus keywords in their plans. They did not need to pay any price unless users literally clicked on them while doing keyword search.

One of the case studies she presented in the seminar showed that her client managed to acquire 100 new clients by spending HK$3,000 per month. The cost per click (CCP) was around HK$3 dollars each
